Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a classic Margaret River blend, comprised of handpicked parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a small portion of Petit Verdot.

The core Cabernet parcels are selected from the Estate Old Block and North Block 12, known for consistently producing fruit of great intensity and individuality. The fruit speaks of its site with crystal clarity.

Each variety is vinified separately. The fruit, with as many whole berries retained as possible, ferments with regular gentle pump overs or plunging. Select parcels undergo extended maceration.

The wines from each batch remain separate for 18 months of ageing in 50% new French oak barrels, which are racked every few months to aid clarification. After blending, the wine is fined, filtered and bottled.

Deep crimson, Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot has sweet fruit flavours with a gravelly savoury element, supple tannins and seamless oak. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
